This Privacy Policy describes how Wallthings Considered ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://wallthingsconsidered.pages.dev (the "Site") or interact with our automated tools that connect to third-party platforms such as Pinterest and Etsy.

1. Who we are

Wallthings Considered is an independent print-on-demand canvas art shop. Orders and customer transactions are handled entirely by Etsy, our marketplace platform. This Site is an informational gallery that links visitors to our Etsy listings.

2. Information we collect on this Site

The Site itself does not require accounts, log-ins, or personally identifiable information to browse. We collect data only in the following limited cases:

  • Email address — only if you voluntarily submit it via the newsletter form. Emails are stored and sent through our email service provider (Buttondown). You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
  • Server logs — our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) may record standard request metadata (IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not access these logs ourselves.

The Site does not set first-party tracking cookies. Outbound links to our Etsy shop include UTM parameters (e.g., utm_source=site) so that Etsy's own analytics can attribute referral traffic. Once you click through to Etsy, Pinterest, or any other third party, that platform's own privacy policy applies.

5. Our Pinterest application

We operate a small private automation tool that uses the Pinterest API to publish pins to our own Pinterest business account, organized into themed boards we own. The application is a single-user tool used only by the shop owner. It does not collect, store, or transmit any data belonging to other Pinterest users. The scopes we request are used as follows:

  • boards:read — verify our themed boards exist before queueing pins
  • boards:write — create the themed boards used to organize pins by style
  • pins:read — check whether a pin already exists to avoid duplicates
  • pins:write — publish scheduled pins of our products

All pin metadata (title, description, image URL, scheduled time) is stored locally on the shop owner's machine in a SQLite database. No third-party data is collected, retained, or shared.

We use the limited information we collect strictly to:

  • Send the newsletter you subscribed to (if applicable).
  • Operate and maintain the Site and the Pinterest automation tool.
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs follow Cloudflare's default retention. Pinterest pin metadata is retained on the shop owner's local device for as long as needed to schedule and de-duplicate pins.

Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA, UK, California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
